POSITIONS IN ORTHOPEDIC SURGERY AND TRAUMATOLOGY OF THE MUSCULOSKELETAL SYSTEM (CHIEF RESIDENTS)

Medicol is an organization that brings together more than 30 member physicians specialized in musculoskeletal disorders, with the aim of promoting the training of healthcare professionals, networking their skills, and thereby improving patient care.

The Bois-Cerf Clinic, specialized in orthopedics, is part of the Hirslanden group of private clinics, which also represents the largest medical network in Switzerland.

The Orthopedic Center of Ouchy, created through the partnership between Medicol and the Bois-Cerf Clinic, is recognized by the ISFM for FMH training in orthopedic surgery and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system (category-C) and for training in sports medicine (SEMS).

We are offering two positions for

ISFM

CHIEF RESIDENT,
and ASSISTANT CLINIC HEAD

supervised by Medicol’s training physicians.

Activities

  • Consultations and surgical management of patients.
  • Surgical assistance.
  • Supervision/support of resident physicians.
  • Follow-up of hospitalized patients.
  • Participation in clinical and scientific studies.
  • Leading medical conferences and meetings.
  • Participation and contribution to Medicol events (congresses, symposiums).

Conditions

  • Hold a federal medical degree or a foreign degree recognized by MEBEKO.
  • Have completed at least 4 years of postgraduate training in orthopedic surgery and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system.
  • If holding an FMH title as a specialist in orthopedic surgery and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system, must have or be eligible for a license to practice and bill.
  • Good command of French (certified level) and knowledge of English.
  • Swiss, EU/EFTA nationality or valid residence permit in Switzerland.

Skills

  • Open and dynamic personality, able to integrate into a multidisciplinary and multicultural team.
  • Proven surgical skills.
  • Good command of IT tools and patient administrative management.
  • Sense of responsibility.
